Frontline Training Specialist

Brad Landry, PCP

Brad comes to us with a diverse background in the First Responder community, making him an invaluable member of REgen's team as a Frontline Training Specialist.

Brad's journey as a First Responder began as a Volunteer Firefighter in 1995, where he gave 15 years of service with the Pomquet Fire Department. Inspired by a local Paramedic, Brad began to consider a career in Paramedicine, which led to him enrolling in the Primary Care Program (PCP) at Collège de l’Acadie in Meteghan, NS in 2003; graduating a year later.

As a licensed PCP, Brad gave 16 years of devoted service within Emergency Medical Care Incorporated (EMCI). Key highlights of his career include, but are not limited to: curriculum development at the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia concerning the culture of paramedics; Collaborative Emergency Centre Paramedic; Paramedic Driving Safety Coach; Road to Mental Readiness-R2MR Facilitator for front line staff and families; PEER & Family Support Referral Agent; PEER & Family Support Education Coordinator; BLS instructor; Senior Operations Paramedic and Community Relations Paramedic. Brad has been a part of many committees for the growth of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), along with countless hours of volunteer Paramedic services in his community.

Brad resigned from EMC in 2020, yet continues to uphold his licensing and contribution to the profession as a Lead Primary Care Paramedic Instructor for MedaVie Health Ed Services.

He has experienced and held space for a broad range of contributing factors to stress and mental health injuries on the job. Brad recognizes the value of what is referred to as resiliency and has a few tools in his wheelhouse through energetic healing modalities, with his first love being mindfulness and meditation.

As REgen's Frontline Training Specialist, Brad will foster his deep passion for connecting the frontline community with the tools and resources they need to build resilience. It is his desire to equip the new, up-and-coming frontline workforce with the training they will need to have successful careers; both in and out of the uniform. As a mental health advocate, it is his hope to break through the barriers surrounding stigma and mental health, and be part of a culture shift that is long overdue. Brad understands the life changing moments of "me too", "I see you", "I believe you" and "I am here".  Connection, community and care.

When not at work, Brad shares his time with his life partner Nicole and their blended family of four children. He takes care of himself by biking, hiking, traveling throughout Nova Scotia or exploring a great beach.
